H1N1 Knowledge and Difference between Cold and Swine Flu Symptoms



Some H1N1 information I got from my friend, I feel it is very useful on this H1N1 period.


When children has fever, most of the doctorr will prescribe the fever medicine to consume either in 4 or 6 hours period. Usually, the fever will go down after taken the medicine, but it will come back after after 3 to 6 hours.

But for H1N1 infectious, the fever will not go down after taking the medicine, it will consistantly stay at high temperature for hours. If the condition stays continuous for 48 hrs, the possibility of H1N1 infectious will be very high, Doctor will give the patient the H1N1 anti-viral treatment, ie Tamiflu treatment for period of 7 days.

Difference between Cold and Swine Flu Symptoms


Fever
Cold : Fever is rare with a cold.
Swine Flu: Fever is usually present with the flu in up to 80% of all flu cases.

A temperature of 100°F or higher for 3 to 4 days is associated with the flu.


Coughing
Cold :A hacking, productive (mucus- producing) cough is often present with a cold.
Swine Flu :A non-productive (non-mucus producing) cough is usually present with the

flu (sometimes referred to as dry cough).


Aches
Cold :Slight body aches and pains can be part of a cold.
Swine Flu :Severe aches and pains are common with the flu.


Stuffy Nose
Cold
:Stuffy nose is commonly present with a cold and typically resolves

spontaneously within a week.
Swine Flu :Stuffy nose is not commonly present with the flu.


Chills
Cold :Chills are uncommon with a cold.
Swine Flu :60% of people who have the flu experience chills.


Tiredness
Cold :Tiredness is fairly mild with a cold.
Swine Flu :Tiredness is moderate to severe with the flu.


Sneezing
Cold :Sneezing is commonly present with a cold.
Swine Flu :Sneezing is not common with the flu.


Sudden Symptoms
Cold :Cold symptoms tend to develop over a few days.
Swine Flu :The flu has a rapid onset within 3-6 hours.

The flu hits hard and includes sudden symptoms like high fever, aches and pains.


Headache
Cold :A headache is fairly uncommon with a cold.
Swine Flu :A headache is very common with the flu, present in 80% of flu cases.


Sore Throat
Cold :Sore throat is commonly present with a cold.
Swine Flu :Sore throat is not commonly present with the flu.


Chest Discomfort
Cold :Chest discomfort is mild to moderate with a cold.
Swine Flu :Chest discomfort is often severe with the flu..

健康小Tips

最近感冒病毒肆虐各地,到處都是咳嗽、擤鼻涕的聲音,可是吃西藥又怕副作用,一整天頭昏昏眼花花兼軟趴趴 ;試試以下方法吧! 癥狀: 感冒初期,小噴嚏、小咳嗽 .

1)生薑(驅除寒氣 )+紅糖(富含鐵質 ) 補血補力氣,逼出寒氣大作戰! 將約200 克的生薑切片放入2000cc的水中煮開後,再加紅糖適量一起滾個十分鐘;不怕辣的人可以讓煮好的薑湯再悶上十分鐘。連續喝幾次後便能驅風散寒,舒暢氣管。

2) COKE, 熱熱的喝,溫溫的好。 什麼 ?!喝可樂可以治喉嚨沙啞不舒服,你給我騙! 不要懷疑,可口可樂公司最早就是感冒糖漿的製造公司。只要將可樂倒進杯子中,加入檸檬 1~2片,然後再微波個二、三分鐘,就是熱騰騰又好喝的咳嗽糖漿了。

3) 沒有藥味的伏冒熱飲。 所謂「金桔不知感冒」,金桔含有豐富的維他命C,果皮還有化痰、利氣、健脾胃的功效,所以輕微感冒時可將金桔泡茶喝。 做法是將洗乾淨的熟金桔,稍微切開後放入冷水中同煮,水煮開後即是酸酸甜甜的金桔茶。若怕酸者可加適量蜂蜜調味( 蜂蜜富含維它命B群及天然的維它命C 、&# 37941;、蛋白質.. ) 。

4) 乾啦!再來一杯! 喝蛋酒,不但可以暖身還能補充體力,而體力就是打敗病毒的最佳利器。 取二分之一的蛋量,攪拌後混合二、三匙蜂蜜放在小火上,並且繼續攪拌,最後徐徐倒入約 130CC的酒(米酒即可),待濃度混合後立刻關火,不需煮得太熟透才好喝,不過千萬不要喝醉了喔!

5) 民以食為天,吃飯皇帝大,藥可以不吃,飯不能不吃! 紫蘇,味辛性溫、常用於感冒發汗不出、胸悶氣逆胃脹噁,對海鮮中毒吐瀉症狀亦有效。 一. 將新鮮紫蘇葉五錢洗淨,搓成圓柱狀後再切絲,薑一小段也切成絲。 二. 白米一杯加八碗水煮粥,粥煮好前先放薑絲拌勻,最後放紫蘇稍悶片刻即可食用。

6) 咕嚕嚕,上上下下左左右右,呸!細菌漱光光 茶樹精油 2滴+薄荷精油 1滴,加入200CC的水中漱口,可以有效對付口腔、喉頭黏膜的細菌感染,減緩喉嚨發炎的不適。
7) 泡一泡、發發汗,睡一覺、沒感冒。 天竺葵 3滴+肉桂 2滴直接滴在加滿溫熱水的臉盆中,泡個二十分鐘後穿上襪子再上床好好睡一覺,第二天就會感覺身體暖暖、精神飽飽了!因為天竺葵和肉桂其熱性及促進循環排毒的特質,可以保持體溫並減輕感冒初期的畏寒症狀。

8) 來來來、薰一薰,細菌病毒、去去去。 民間常用艾草煙薰內以「僻疫驅邪」,根據研究發現用艾葉煙薰對細菌病毒確實有抑制作用。所以在流行性感冒流行期間,可以用乾艾絨煙薰家中 (中藥店有售將艾草搗爛成的艾絨) ,避免病毒的傳染。

9) 有事沒事壓一壓、揉一揉,身體強健不怕痛 穴道按摩法是老祖宗留下來的寶貴智慧,尤其手掌集聚經絡的出發點,與內臟緊密的連結;平時常做手掌按摩,將可強化內臟功能增加身體抵抗力。 大拇指根那一塊肉肉的地方( 拇指丘),其實掌管了身體的胸腔及呼吸器區,若每天刺激這個部位將有助於改善容易感冒及疲倦的虛弱' 636; 質。此外,如喉嚨痛、打噴嚏、流鼻水、咳嗽等感冒之初期症狀亦可很快痊癒。

10) 刺一刺、哎呀呀!刺一刺、哇哈哈! 對預防急治療感冒頗為有效的還有食指的「二間」、手掌的「魚際」及手腕的「太淵」此三個穴位。剛患感冒時刺激這三個穴位,能有效防止病況惡化。


感冒是因為抵抗力減弱所造成的,因此預防感冒除防止病原入侵外,更重要是培養體力、增強本身的抵抗力。所以記得吃飯要營養、睡覺要睡飽、身體要動動,感冒就不來!以上小偏方只適合感冒初期時嚐試,身體有病還是要看醫生.

熬夜 (Sleep Late)

Most of the modern generation of people today like a "sleep late" lifestyle. But did you ever think, this will bring you to the health risk as well?

Below some of the information and tips I get it from my friend lately, I feel it is very useful for the people always sleep late.

熬夜自己的身體也要顧好
(care about your body and health if you have a sleep late habit)

熬夜加班,也要有技巧,才能依然身體硬朗。否則,鐵打的身體,
也受不了如此的日夜操勞呢!因此,想要熬夜的您,千萬記住:

1.不要吃泡麵來填飽肚子,以免火氣太大。最好儘量以水果、土司
、麵包、清粥小菜來充飢。

2.提神飲料,最好以綠茶為主,可以提神,又可以消除體內多餘的
自由基,讓您神清氣爽。但是胃腸不好的人,最好改喝枸杞子泡熱
水的茶,可以解壓,還可以明目呢!

3.熬夜前千萬記得卸妝,或是先把臉洗乾淨,以免厚厚的粉層或油
漬,在熬夜的煎熬下,引發滿臉痘痘。

4.熬夜之後,第二天中午時千萬記得打個小睡一下。

晚上1:00以後不睡覺,人體的代謝作用由內分泌燃燒,用內分泌燃
燒產生的毒素會很多,會使體質變酸,通常熬夜的人得慢性疾病的
機率比抽煙或喝酒的人都來得高。所以每天儘量在12:00以前睡覺,
不要常熬夜,若非要熬夜,一星期以一次為限!熬夜時不要吃肉,
盡量吃碳水化合物,這樣隔天才不至於很累,可把傷害減至最低。

Do You Know How much water do you need a day?


Water is an important structural component of skin cartilage, tissues and organs.
For human beings, every part of the body is dependent on water.

Our body comprises about 75% water: the brain has 85%, blood is 90%, muscles are 75%, kidney is 82% and bones are 22% water.
The functions of our glands and organs will eventually deteriorate if they are not nourished with good, clean water.

The average adult loses about 2.5 litres water daily through perspiration, breathing and elimination. Symptoms of the body's deterioration begins to appear when the body loses 5% of its total water volume.

In a healthy adult, this is seen as fatigue and general discomfort, whereas for an infant, it can be dehydrating. In an elderly person, a 5% water loss causes the body chemistry to become abnormal, especially if the percentage of electrolytes is overbalanced with sodium.

One can usually see symptoms of aging, such as wrinkles, lethargy and even disorientation. Continuous water loss over time will speed up aging as well as increase risks of diseases.
